Well, after Otto's idea of a diary and my recent "destruction" i decided to keep a diary about my Ogame stories Just to have something to read when i screw up again! Read it if you want, comment it if you want, delete it if you want but i will write it Starting from today night!

Ok. The rebuild is going well and fast. Already hit 10 cruisers and 13 battleships. I think i ll just stick to those two types of ships for now. Also created some more large cargoes and some recyclers. I also decided that i should only fleet save between my planets with deployment missions. Think it is for the best.

That's pretty wise. Sending them out and recalling half way works (the Recall can't be phalanxed), but it is a longer way of FSing.
Ideally, get a moon and FS from that (eventually consider trading moonshots - although you need 1667 LFs for maximum chance...)

Ok, 1 more colony on the way!!! This time i need something to fleetsave to so i got my self a galaxy 2 colony. 2.254.9 to be exact

So, after your fleet gets destroyed you understand that your fleet is so precious you have to use it as much as possible. So i stopped those little stupid raids on inactives or defenseless players and started sending my 15 battleships and 10 cruisers to small fleets recycling them. Bad luck no moon was created. A phalanx would help me veeeery much! I also tried to colonize 2.254.9 and it was taken before i get there d**n... more to come!

Don't forget that you can slow your fleet down to as little as 10% of its max speed, so if you need your fleet gone for a long time just do that. Also think about adding a recycler (or other really slow ship) to the fleet because your fleet will move at the speed of your slowest ship!
Example: a fleet consisting of just cruisers, moving from my home planet to another of my planets only 6 systems away with level 6 impluse drive takes about 58 minutes at 100% speed. When I lower it down to 10% speed it takes almost 10 hours to arrive. Add one recycler ship to the fleet with 7 ranks in combustion drive, and keep the fleet at 10% speed and now I'm looking at around 30 hours to arrive!
In other words, you don't NEED a colony in galaxy 2. It might be nice to have if you can find one close to a resource-rich planet (to maximize the number of times you can hit it in one day), but not necessary.

If you're fleetsaving between galaxies you'll find that once you get a lot of ships it gets VERY expensive. To send the little handful of ships I have in galaxy 2 to galaxy 1 costs nearly 20,000 deuterium if I set the speed to 100%. 10% lowers it to about 6,000, covered by my daily mine production at least.

According to the wiki, sensor phalanxes cannot see:
Recalled deployment fleets Fleets heading to the planet's debris field Fleets heading to the planet's moon Harvesting fleets launched from or returning to a moon
Therefore, even if you had a colony in another galaxy, they could be detected by the phalanx anyway. It might be a little harder for the attacker with the phalanx to FIND your planet in the other galaxy in order to scan it, but not impossible (especially when sites like gamestats.org track who has colonies where). If you're trying to hide, you're probably better off getting a couple moons and flying your fleets between those instead..... that is until somebody comes along with a death star and decides to blow up your moon..... >.<

You are wrong here. Phalanxes have a range of XXX systems. No phalanx can see to another galaxy. Well, what can i say? If the guy wants to destroy me and has moons on both galaxies, then yes, i am dead

Here is a Phalanx Range Calculator. Phalanx range is based on the installation's level... I'm not so sure about it not detecting recycle missions launched to the planet's debris field either. Unless the guy was damn lucky or had calculated the flight times, I had a guy time an attack to three seconds after my fleet landed from such a mission.

I want to crash Synthesizer's fleets.... He is always on sending me those annoying messages every time i attack him: "wow, i feel a need to spend some resources" and other annoying messages like that. i just found a new purpose in life. he is gonna get crashed.
