Valor 15.01.2012 02:33:47 I at GKOP would like to make alliance with your alliance |
Elessar 15.01.2012 09:25:04 This proposal will be evaluated. I will pass your intentions on to our members. I personally do not have the authority to agree to or deny diplomatic relations; a consensus will have to be reached by the majority of our members. Furthermore, it is unlikely that they will agree to such a treaty unless there are obvious benefits. So I suggest that you may want to, perhaps write a bit more as to what it is that made you guys from GKOP wants to be in an alliance with us and what benefits you reckon we could get out of such a deal. |
Valor 15.01.2012 11:54:32 GKOPs external is our most possible way to explain our motives we aren't a "fighters alliance" we are a "traders" we don't like to have a conflict involving our loss of business which is what our trading is but it's more explanatory to read our External Page |
p.s. here is their 'External Page': uni101.ogame.org/game/ainfo.php?allyid=113it is very long, quite boring, indirect and makes little sense.

please post your insight, we want this to be a discussion thread so keep it alive !!
personally i don't see much if any benefit from allying with GKOP; they may be 'traders' but most of our members have little or no demand for deuterium. GKOP have evolved over time from a mass alliance of 70 something members to a more solid group of about 40 mostly miner and turtles. from what i was able to gather, they have recently employed a 'training program' for their youngsters and their entry is also slightly more restricted. personally i have sacked/plundered/crashed a couple of their members for handsome profits, but overall it appears that they are no longer a farm alliance. GKOP is currently allied with: C.O.S., TAF-B1, DDC, GSOP. by the looks of things, they are quite harmless.

In the long run I also see no benefit in an alliance with them... I believe we are a very balanced alliance, between fleeters and miners, to support each other in case of need... with all members in the ED well developed we should be able to support our MD with all the deut they need and still trade outside the alliance more than enough for our individual needs... Personally I think you would be better served in getting an agreement with a good fleeter alliance, mainly for mutual defense purposes and some trading. We should bear in mind that an "agressive" alliance wouldn't suit us better than the most, especially since we might have a higher probability of getting involved in useless conflicts. @ Elessar - their page boring?! nah...

I also don't see much benefit myself, from the looks of things I don't see how it would benefit us. Most of us are able to support each other quite well, they focus mainly on trade while I think Cato is spot on, a fleet alliance would work out better for us.
Plus with a page that rambles on and on, they are an allinace I'd think twice about before joining if I was a newbie. We need a group more balanced and better able to defend themselves.

Ehh, I was bored at your circular message. Have no intention on reading GKOP's message.
just tell them we don't make alliances or NAP's.
Hell there one of our best farms, and that's prolly why they want to ally.

If they happen to be huge farms for everyone I see no reason to ally especially if they are a fleeting alliance that will help us in our position...

I would decline as well. I see no benefit to them what so ever. Seems like they are just trying to collect as many allies as possible. And the "agree to not attack us and we'll consider trading with you" bit of their page is laughable. It made me want to attack them more.

apart from possibly collecting as many allies as possible (which serves them nothing as well) GKOP does suggest that the great majority (not not all) of their members are very much passive in the game; that is, they may either be farms/turtles/miners and/or have a fleet but doesn't use it for raiding or anything; cause to be in a group like them and buddies with just about anyone meant that any proactive players will be starved to death. My point in saying this is that, despite being higher ranked than us, they are not a threat; that is, it is not nearly the same as an alliance offer from Knuck or something lol. so we can ignore/reject/joke/insult about their offer and not have any consequences. the insteresting this is,.. i have not replied to them and have not heard anything from them ever since.
