Anyone tried? www.leagueoflegends.com/To describe it shortly, based on the DOTA mod for Warcraft3. Free online game in which you can choose your hero and fight in 3vs3, 5vs5 or people vs AI games. There is two maps, each team starts at opposite end in their base, and there is 3 main paths to enemy base. Goal is to destroy enemy base (nexus - respawning point). There is defending turrets, and every 30 seconds waves of minions. Every week you can play freely with 10 randomly rotated champions (of nearly 70). You can upgrade/fine tune them, ingame via buying items, or between fights via masteries and runes. You are awarded Experience and Influence points for playing, and can spend that in permanently unlocking champions, buying runes or skins for them. You have to download and install the client. There is North American and European installs/servers, I am playing NA version. I'm level 22, nick is "krezumica". If you find it interesting enough and worth trying, please use this link when signing up, it will give me some point boost, but only if you reach level 5. ;D signup.leagueoflegends.com/?ref=4dbf187a79a43169693517If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help, as always

I played it for a while when it 1st came out. Great little team based game. I Highly recommend a look at it, especially if you like that kind of game.
Unfortunately that's where it fell down for me. Loved going in for a game and had a few good friends and when you have a good game its, great fun. But I just got sick of the amount of asshats that played the game. You would get people raging, even at their own team, but no, not helping anyone.
Arrrhhh, I was a master gangplanker before they changed his damage to more melee based. That's about when I got sick of the rage in that game so I never re-learn't how to play him tho I reckon I could still put some sting up the butt of the more experienced players ^^.
I actually think re-Downloaded it a couplpe weeks back but haven't gone in for a game yet.

This is the issue that lot of players complained about, and must admit that it turned me down for a while. Now there is complaint mechanism, and players reached lvl 30 can vote for sanctions on abusive players. It helped a lot, and there is much less rage and quits than before. Few weeks ago there was first team Worldchampionship in LoL, held at Sweden. 8 teams from US, Europe and Asia fought for 100.000 USD prize. Some 200.000 people (connections) watched it in live stream. Amazing. If you want, check the finals at youtube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNFuda7M6Nc

Ahh, I heard about that from the mails I still get.
I remember they were always talking about how to stop quitters and ragers, so I will be very interested to see what they did.
