Hey, I was just wondering, for people who have cars, how much insurance costs. I'm thinking of getting my license, and I want to price out how much these things may cost. A couple of my friends have given me quotes of 2-3K, but they live in the U.S., so im not sure if those would be accurate here (Canada)

I live in australia so can't help you directly, but I suggest you jump online and get a online quote.
Won't be perfect but wont take long and will give you a pretty good idea of what your looking at.

I can't help much either, as I can only give you US prices... which I'm told vary wildly depending on the area's crime rate, your driving history, and the make/model of the vehicle.

It is the same here in Croatia, insurance depends on your driving history (every year without damage -10% bonus; up to max - 50%), engine power, installed alarm and antitheft devices, age of the car.

If they cant give you a guess their not even trying so just go to the next company. There are some companies here in australia who specialise in insurance for unique cars and they have better quotes than the normal insurers who charge thru the teeth. There's no easy way out I'm afraid, you just have to do your homework and shop around.

okay, thanks guys, ive phoned around, but it looks like Im going to have to go to the store to get a quote. The place most people go here is the provincial company, but Im going to see if I can find a smaller place with cheaper rates
