Phantom_Menace 14.02.2012 02:40:00 Would your alliance be interested in a trade agreement? We would buy deut in exchange for a nap. |
Elessar 14.02.2012 12:43:39 as for the trade agreement, it sounds quite good; we do have a bunch of players constantly trying to sell their deuterium piles in exchange for crystals. just wondering, what trade rates are you offering? and p.s. should we enter into such an agreement, will be be banned from trading with fleeters from other alliance(s) .?. and lastly, how consistent do you require the deuterium supply? i.e. how many million per week? does it have to be from the same players? will we be required to maintain a consistent trade quota and finally what happens if we do not meet such a target? |
[/b] 14.02.2012 19:01:51[/u] We'd like it to be consistent. Some amount per week that we agree to. 10M per week minimum might be a starting point, but you'll have to let me know what you guys are able to supply. I don't know what your guys produce per week. It doesn't matter who supplies the deut, it could be one member contributing all or a little bit from each. It would all come to me for distribution to my members. We could trade metal or crystal, whatever you like. We are asking for a 2:1:1 rate. The starting benefit is a nap with Peaches. If you're able to supply more than 10M per week, we could talk about other benefits, including potential alliance, mutual defense pact, or fleet insurance. We wouldn't care if you sell deut to someone else as long as the agreed amount is traded to us.[/td][/tr][/table] This is definitely a much better proposal than the one [Knuck] made to us earlier (which required us to trade with them exlusively and was quite insulting). [PEACHES] is the 4th most powerful alliance (we are ranked 16th). in the recent past, two of their most active fleeters (Wareo and Shogun a.k.a. Acario) left [PEACHES] to join [DDC]; despite this, they still have a several active fleeting players. and lets be honest, if our members are able to work together, a weekly supply of 10 million deuterium is not a lot (especially if players like Sugaar, Archaicelf and groza are able to redirect their trade clients for this treaty). Other benefits (excluding the alliance proposal) are quite good as well; although i must say that scoring NAPs with [DDC], [Knuck] and [not2cool] may have more noticeable benefits for our less competent members. The massive downside I see however is the trade rate of 2:1:1 which is quite low but a standard rate among most fleeting players. It is a poor rate especially if you intend to sell deuterium in exchange for crystals. Our internal rate of 5:3:2 is favourable for internal trading; however with the possible exception of myself, no one buys deuterium other than for one-off uses.

11 views and no responds!? I can supply 1mil a week easy I've been known to trade to KMK and K4 many times at 2:1:1 (which isint terrible 5:3:2 vs 4:2:2 provides 50%loss to crystal and 25% loss to metal) I would be for this nap because it never hurts to be friends with better clans and players... I don't see how this would be negative unless DDC/knuck/n2c perceived this as a betrayal and decided to hunt us down...
HOWEVER I don't think that would be the case so back to my original view, I'm for this and I don't see a negative downside. (Chalk me up for a min. 1mil/wk) More or weeks I raid more actively now that I've got some fleet going on =P

i can not participate in this trade, because my deut production isn't sufficient enough for this kind of demand but i can support you with deut as much as i can

Same as above. ^ I'm afraid I can't participate either, considering my deut mine and daily comsumption. 100k deut mean alot for me, exception for metal, I have a lot of it. I'd wonder if groza could help handle this, since I hear he used to trade with DIRTBAG. And he only 4 SS from our current location. :3

Yeah I could help out with half a Mill to a Mill a week. Where would we be sending this to? One of our players or one of theirs? What benefits are we getting out of this besides trade? Any?

Because I am a 'beginner' I cannot participate yet. With this kind of treaties I ask myself one question. 10 Mil a week is 520 Mil a year of Deuterium Resources for a NAP.
What is the benefit for us to have this kind of expensive treaty?? Can we garantee the flow of Deut to them??

TrazzHonestly this is not a terrible deal, we are not spending 520mil/deut/yr for a nap, in honesty we are only spending 260 million deut a year on this nap (However once you get into the world of millions of res 5:3:2 or 3:2:1 trade rates become less and less common, a standard rate when trading 1+mill of anything is 2:1:1)(While I don't like the principle it is what it is for the time being). So with this being considered we are not really getting taken advantage of, maybe 15-70mil/deut/yr MAX at this current juncture. Now you asked what does this get us? For now nothing really, I don't know about you but I'm not really farmed by peaches... well or by anyone since I'm active but Peaches is on the bottom of the list of people that probe me (maybe its different for other players in different systems). However Peaches is one of the TOP alliances and it never hurts to have friends or at the very least people who know who we are, in high places. Even if we are not in a protection agreement with them (Not that I want to be in a clan that "Needs" protection) if there is someone who is being a nuisance to our members perhaps we could gather intel on their fleet and if we can't deal with it we can pass on the information. They would be "protection" us at a huge personal gain (See what I'm sayin). 2ndly they stated that if we breached the 10mil/week barrier perhaps we could become an ally? who know That might be a healthy growth point for our alliance... Lastly this a non-exclusive contract... So if I have 2mil deut and we've meet our 10mil quota I can message some of my old peoples like ember or kmk or k4 people in other alliances and trade with them and not get into "trouble" Hope this answers some questions and concerns. Remember to bring up these questions, many people have them and few ask them, and as an alliance I believe we need to make an informed decision about major changes.

hunter, Thanks for the explanation. This kind of NAP treaties are new to me. But as you explained to be it doesn't hurt to have some friends in high places. And the possibility for ally and fleet insurrance are very actractive. You have my blessing . As I explained that I cannot participate in this treaty yet, but when I can, I would be glad to help you guys with this. (When I am high enough and the treaty is still active ) Greetzz Trazz

agreed that this is not a terrible deal,.. if and only if a great proportion of our players are miners (which is quite possibly the case) and are producing deuterium which they don't always need. i am aware that players such as Tatsudragon simply have low/none deuterium mines at some of his locations (cause he rarely trade and have no need for deut). anyhow, judging by the number of our members constantly trying to sell deuterium for crystals (and occasionally metals) it is not much of an effort to lock-in on a deal such as this. the only difficulty which is very much a perpetual headache is to get our top economic players involved; namely groza, Archaicelf, Sugaar and possibly Mahjong. Geomix who is a turtle, had for a couple of times left gigantic mountains of deuterium on his planets and was attacked for it. players like these are the heavy-weights in this deal (if we are keen to proceed with it) but they simply don't do anything.
furthermore may i point out that dismissing/ignoring this NAP proposal from [PEACHES] is still ok; it's not like we will upset them or anything, except that some of our members may get probed more frequently and crashed here and there; something that can be easily prevented by fleetsaving diligently. lastly, [PEACHES] have more raiders than fleeters, they have people that are more willing to fire IPMs than to send ships,.. all in all, they are not a group to be feared about if you are a competent player. but like Hunter said, it is worthwhile to be in good relatinships with groups that are much more powerful than us, and this NAP could serve just that. finally, without some sort of trade treaty, our own members will have to look around for buyers of their excess deuteriums; which is ok for some and slightly inconvinient for others, but doesn't benefit the alliance in any shape or form if peole sell deuteriums externally on a individual level. internal trading of deuterium under the 5:3:2 rate is quite minimal and almost none-existent; most of us are either self-sufficient or have no need for deuterium.

I'm not cranking out any major ammounts of Deuterium yet, but I can supplement a Measly 100-150 K per week. My real Focus is on mining Crystal.
So yeah. I'll send in 100,000 to 150,000 a week.

Not interested at all in anyone trading at 2:1:1 Not interested in any NAP's
Are we really providing enough farms to be even considering a NAP?
If we are, speak up and we will help you, we are not in need of any NAP's and if anyones being constantly crashed or farmed I think you need to firstly have a look at the way you play, and if your being harrased speak up and we will do something about it.
I think its a crappy deal and anything mentioning 2:1:1 rates, well I'm sure you all know my opinion on that by now. Will be back out of V-mode when I get home tonight and if anyone has a constand excess of deuterium let me know and if I can't help you out I'll find someone for you that will trade at better than crap ass lowest rates.
There are any number of people who wil pay you more but if you willing to take 2:1:1 it means you need it fast and/or your lazy.
Off the top of my head, TANK chimed in and said he will pay I think it was 2.25:1.25:1 on my Trade rates thread in the andromeda section, so maybe you could ask him. Pretty sure Groza could set you up with a few who will pay more too maybe PM him and Elessar I thought you had better rates when you used to sell deut, maybe you know a few.

Honestly, I'm not sure about going into the NAP. for me, 100,000 is about a quarter of my weekly production. It's going to be taxing on me to provide this for a benefit that I haven't needed to worry about in the past...
Although I am worried that refusing the deal will be incentive for increased attacks.

please allow me some time and i'll get back to you all. what Otto wrote (above) is something to think about.
